Scope and Aim of the Committee

To define, contemplate, and devise concrete strategies for the furtherance of social justice equity at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School with the purpose of fostering an environment where the universal human dignity of every member of our community, and of every human person, is respected, considered, and cultivated, in keeping with the teachings and tradition of the Catholic Church. 

Wake Me Up Lord Prayer (from USCCB, "Open Wide Our Hearts")

Wake me up Lord, so that the evil of racism finds no home within me.
Keep watch over my heart Lord, and remove from me any barriers to your grace, that may oppress and offend my brothers and sisters.
Fill my spirit Lord, so that I may give services of justice and peace.
Clear my mind Lord, and use it for your glory.
And finally, remind us Lord that you said, "blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God." Amen.
 

The Apostle Paul refers to the virtues in his Letter to the Philippians: “whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (Philippians 4:8). According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, “a virtue is an habitual and firm disposition to do the good. It allows the person not only to perform good acts, but to give the best of himself. The virtuous person tends toward the good with all his sensory and spiritual powers; he pursues the good and chooses it in concrete actions” (CCC 1803).
