National French Honor Society (La Société Honoraire de Français) is an honor society for Blessed Trinity students who are enrolled in upper level French Honors’ courses (3H or AP). It is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) for the purpose of recognizing the achievements of outstanding French students across the United States. Students must be currently enrolled in French and be in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. Student selection is based on scholarship, leadership, and commitment to French. Student members must have maintained an A- average or higher in French coursework and a B- average or higher in non-French coursework. Members complete a service project annually and inducted members help with the Induction Ceremony for new members held early in the spring semester. The motto of La Société Honoraire de Français is “Celui qui sait deux langues en vaut deux!” or “A person who knows two languages has the value of two”.
