Hyperion 4516

For the 2020 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) season, Blessed Trinity will once again be represented by Team 4516 Hyperion. Named for one of the Titans in Greek Mythology, this will be the team's 8th season competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition. This year's team is led by a strong group of seniors who have been dedicated to the Blessed Trinity Robotics program by participating on both the FTC team Cronos and FRC team Hyperion.

This year's game is named Infinite Recharge. FIRST has teamed up with Disney's Lucasfilm and it's Star Wars brand to bring about a Force For Change. The playing field, called FIRSTCity is being threatened by approaching asteroids. Each match features two (2) alliances, each with three (3) FRC robots, working together to protect FIRSTCity by activating their alliances Shield Generator. To accomplish this, each alliance must collect yellow foam balls called Power Cells and insert them by depositing or launching them into their Power Port. Alliances must get a minimum of 49 Power Cells into their Power Port before the Shield Generator can be activated. Alliances must also manipulate their Control Panel twice during the match in order for their Shield Generator can be activated. After powering their generator with 49 power cells and turning their Control Panel to the correct locations, alliances can activate their Shield Generator if two (2) of the alliance's FRC robots pull themselves up on the Generator Switch, one on each end, so the Generator Switch is level.
