Tuesday, February 18, 2020

The Blessed Trinity Dance Team competed in two routines, jazz and then pom, on February 15th at Columbus State University for the GHSA Dance State Invitational Championship and won first place for their jazz routine. They were among 54 coed or all-girl dance squads from around the state performing in jazz, high kick, hip hop and pom in the event’s second season.

Competing dance teams include up to 20 eligible students, enter up to two routines to be judged that are no more than two minutes in length. Judges score routines on choreography, musicality, difficulty/transitions, technique, synchronization, staging/spacing and showmanship/overall visual effect.

“They deserve this recognition and as a Coach, I could not be more proud of my entire team. I couldn’t ask for a better group of dancers to work with.” said Coach Amanda Ketcham. Ketcham indicated she is hoping for more next year when Dance is a sanctioned sport under GHSA.

Congratulations BTDT for your GHSA 1st place Jazz recognition!
