Serve for the Cure

In 2008, while searching for a service project in which his program could take part, Coach Paul Stevens created the Serve for the Cure Invitational Volleyball Tournament.  Top varsity teams from around the southeast are invited to participate, while the BT varsity players create items to sell, and the JV and Jr. Titan teams work at the tables to help the tournament run smoothly.  Items the players have made have included pillows, blankets, picture frames, jewelry, baked goods, and more.  No admission fee is charged to fans, but donations are accepted at the door.  In addition, fans can take part in the 50/50 raffle, purchase one of the student-designed tournament t-shirts, partake in the Serve Up a Slice contest to try to win prizes, or visit some of the corporate vendors at the tournament.

In its eleven year history, the Serve for the Cure tournament has raised over $70,000 in support of breast cancer research through the American Cancer Society!
