Football Cheerleading Coaching Staff

Coach Carlie Black has been coaching Blessed Trinity cheerleading since 2019.  Carlie graduated from Florida State University with degrees in Biology and Psychology and then went on to earn her PhD from Emory University in Neuroscience.  She is part of the Science Department at Blessed Trinity and teaches Biology and Anatomy and Physiology. Carlie and her husband, Alex, are grateful to be part of the BT family! 

This is Coach Laurie Carlton’s 8th season with Blessed Trinity Cheerleading. Laurie graduated from Miami University in Ohio and received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Math. While in her 20’s, she was also an NFL cheerleader with the Cincinnati Bengals. Laurie and her husband, Mike, have 6 children - Jason (BT alum - 2016), Will (BT alum - 2018), Henry (BT alum - 2020), Hanna (BT - 12th grade), Raymond (BT - 11th grade) and Mary (8th grade). Laurie and her family are grateful for their second home at BT!! 

This is Coach Liana Clements 1st season with Blessed Trinity Cheerleading, and her second year at BT. Liana graduated from the University of South Carolina with degrees in Public Relations and Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. Liana also graduated from Blessed Trinity and cheered for the Titans during part of her time at BT! She is a member of the Advancement Department and works as Assistant Director of Advancement/Alumni Relations. Liana and her husband, Trey, live in Canton with their two precious yellow labs - Leo and Benny.  Liana is excited to be a part of the BT Cheer program! 

This is Coach Mari Diaz’s 1st season with the Blessed Trinity Cheer program. Originally from South Florida, Mari grew up in the Catholic School system within the Archdiocese of Miami and graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Secondary Education. Mari has been a part of the Blessed Trinity community since 2020 as a member of the Advancement Office. She and her husband Luis live in Woodstock along with their daughter, Madison, who is an incoming freshman, class of 2025! Mari is incredibly grateful to be a part of the BT community, as well as the cheerleading program. Go Titans!
