Coach Barden begins his 17th year with the BT wrestling program and his 28th overall as a wrestling coach (23 as a head coach). Coach Barden has compiled a 366–167 record over the past fifteen seasons at Blessed Trinity and a 459-223 career record in 22 years as a head coach. In addition to teaching AP Economics as a member of the Social Studies Department, Mr. Barden is an assistant athletic director for Blessed Trinity. Coach Barden also coaches football. The Blessed Trinity wrestling program has finished in the Top Ten numerous times during his tenure and finished 3rd last season.
Coach Barden's wife, Jeannie, is the Media Specialist at Holy Redeemer, while his biggest fan Jana (‘19) is a freshman at the University of South Carolina - Beaufort where she is a member of the track team.
Coach Snider comes to Blessed Trinity with 34 years of experience as an educator and coach. In 2019, Coach Snider was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. He has been a head wrestling coach for 22 of his 34 years and has a dual meet record of 590+ wins, 17 state championships and 4 runner-up finishes. He was named the 2010 All-Classification State Wrestling Coach of the Year in Georgia with teams winning 29 region championships.
In high school, Mr. Snider was a three sport athlete in football, wrestling and track. He was his high school’s first state champion in wrestling in 1981. Wrestling one year at Carson Newman College, Coach Snider then transferred to North Georgia University where he earned his B.S. and M.S. Educational degrees. Mr. Snider furthered his higher education by attaining his Ed.S degree in 1994 from Georgia State University.
Coach Snider and his wife, Karla, have been married for 34 years and have two sons, Joshua and David. Both sons are married and Joshua has three children. He is grateful to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for the opportunity to join the Blessed Trinity school and wrestling program.
Coach Contratto, BT Class Alum '07, joined Blessed Trinity as a faculty member in the Math Department this year and will continue for the second year as an assistant wrestling coach. While a student at BT, Coach Contratto was a three sport athlete lettering in football, wrestling and baseball. After graduating from Blessed Trinity, Coach Contratto played football at Wittenberg University in Ohio. Mr. Contratto finished his college education at Kennesaw State University, graduating with an Education degree and participating on the club Wrestling team. In addition to coaching wrestling at BT, Coach Contratto is also the JV Head Baseball Coach. Mr. Contratto and his wife, Kelly, welcomed their first child, Fallon, this summer.
Coach Dever is in his third year as a member of the wrestling coaching staff. He is a Blessed Trinity graduate of the class of 2007. He was a three-year letterman on the wrestling team while at Blessed Trinity and also played football and lacrosse at the varsity level for three years. In the spring, Dever coaches Boys Lacrosse. He is the Blessed Trinity Communications Coordinator and can often be seen around campus taking photos of our amazing school!
Coach DiLuzio has been involved with the Blessed Trinity wrestling program since its inception in 2000 as a Community Coach. He has been married to his wife, Cathy, for 40 years and has two sons, Nick (‘04) and Chris (‘05) and three grandchildren. Coach DiLuzio earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Louisiana State University and wrestled in high school and college. He is a Senior Vice President at Iberiabank in Marietta, GA.
John O'Hara wrestled and played football in the Midwest before enlisting in the Marine Corp . He has been coaching for over 20 years, specializing in strength and conditioning. He currently holds 8 state records in power lifting and won the national championship in the 2018 United States power lifting association.
Dr. Danny Piper has been a Junior Titans Wrestling coach since 2013. He wrestled for two years for St. Pius X High School in Atlanta, and was an individual state participant at 145 lbs. in 1989. In addition to wrestling, Dr. Piper has coached elementary-aged athletes in soccer, baseball, and flag football.
Coach Piper lives in Roswell with his wife, Jenni, and four boys; Jack, Joey, Jace and DJ. Dr. Piper did his undergraduate work at GA Tech and graduate work at the University of Texas. He teaches science at Blessed Trinity, and he and his family are members at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church. Jack, Joey, and Jace all wrestle for the Junior Titans.
