AP Tests Update
There have been significant changes to the AP Exam Schedule for this testing cycle. Here are the highlights of some of the most significant changes:
All AP exams will be administered via an online platform provided by the College Board.
Exams will be 45 minutes in length with a 5 minute period for uploading. Students will need to log-in to the site 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the exam to get set-up.
All exams will be open-resource (any resource other than person to person is allowed).
Exams may be taken using a cell phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. The recommendation of BT is for students to use the same Chromebook they use during the school day.
Content resources are available through each student’s AP Classroom or through the AP YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/advancedplacement).
Students who are approved for extended time by the College Board will have this added to the platform when they log-in to take the test.
There will not be an exam for AP Computer Science Principles, only a performance-based assessment that has been previously started as part of the course.
Please see the table below for the exam date and time of any AP exam your student might be taking this year. AP teachers are working with students and providing classes with directions for review material, as well as the structure of the test.
