How will I charge my Chromebook at school?
Students should bring their Chromebook to school FULLY CHARGED each and every day. We recommend students plug their Chromebooks in to charge each night when they go to bed. Our Chromebook model has an 8-10 hour batter life and a fully charged device should last through the school day.

Do students own the Chromebooks?
Yes. Chromebooks are student-owned but managed by BT. This means that students are responsible for keeping the Chromebook charged and in working order. Upon leaving BT the management of the device will end and students will have full control of the device.

What do I do if I have a problem with my Chromebook?
Simply bring your Chromebook to the Computer System Administrator's office (next to room 400) and we will repair or replace it. Chromebooks come with a one year warranty and BT will handle all warranty repairs and, if necessary, issue a loaner device.

What happens if my Chromebook is damaged?
Our school-issued models included optional Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) - if you elected to purchase ADP coverage with your Chromebook we will coordinate the repair for you, otherwise you are responsible for your own repairs for devices or issues not covered under the standard one year manufacturer's warranty. Bring your Chromebook to the Computer System Administrator's office (next to room 400) and we will discuss options for repair or replacement.

Can I borrow a Chromebook?
We have a limited set of loaner computers available for the temporary replacement of damaged devices awaiting repair. We do not have sufficient stock to provide loaners to students who forgot to bring their device to school.

Can I personalize my Chromebook with decorations?
Yes - and we highly encourage you to do so since everyone's device looks the same! The Titan Spirit Zone has a variety of laptop decals available for purchase.

Blessed Trinity originally adopted Bring Your Own Device (or BYOD) initiative, allowing students to use their personal devices on the BT wireless network. In our first year BYOD device usage was by student’s request and with teacher approval and we averaged less than 25% of our student population actually using a device; it was sometimes difficult to find a classroom where a student was using an electronic device. The BYOD initiative eventually grew to the point where we began requiring students in certain courses to bring a device for use in class and by the end of the 2013-2014 school year it was difficult to find a classroom that did not have multiple students using electronic devices; we routinely averaged more than 1,000 devices on our wireless network each day, as many students had more than one device - typically some combination of a laptop and a tablet or other mobile device.

The success of our BYOD program presented some technical challenges: once we saw that wireless device use was growing each year we completely replaced our then five-year-old wireless system, increased our wireless coverage twice by adding additional access points, and added additional Internet bandwidth, more than doubling our Internet speeds since our BYOD initiative began. While these challenges are normal in technology and are expected, managed, monitored, and addressed; we reached the point where challenges introduced by our BYOD program extended from the technical realm to the educational. Specifically our teachers were faced with a classroom of students using no fewer than five possible types of devices (Windows laptops, Mac laptops, Chromebooks, Android tablets, and Apple tablets) and this presented challenges for developing class content that was accessible on all devices, monitoring student’s proper use of their personal devices, and identifying and using tools such as computer-based tests and electronic textbooks that were compatible with all possible devices.

In order to address these educational challenges and provide teachers and students with the best possible learning environment, we changed our device policy for the 2015-2016 school year to require that all students have their own Chromebooks. This change addressed our educational challenges, enabled better management of student devices to address technical challenges, and allowed BT teachers and students to have a single tool upon which to build a more integrated educational experience.

To Create a parent account:


Click on the Create Account tab above the username and password fields

Click the Create Account button

Fill out the top portion of the form - note that you will select your own username and password, be sure to remember what you select

On the bottom portion of the form fill out the name of each student and use the Access ID and Access Password that were provided on a yellow piece of paper at new student registration night.

Click the Enter button at the bottom of the page and your account will be created.

Log in using the username and password you selected in step 4 (use the values you selected, not the Access ID and Access Password).

Mobile Device App:
An app is available for Android and iOS devices to access our e-grades system - just search the Play Store or App Store for "Powerschool" and download the PowerSchool app (links are also included below).

Our district code is QKTH (or just search for Blessed Trinity).

A few notes:
There are a few important notes to keep in mind for the App and Parent Accounts:

When creating your parent account you must enter your Access ID and Access Password exactly as they are shown on your yellow sheet - BOTH values are cAsE sEnSiTiVe and if you do not capitalize upper case letters the system will not recognize your Access ID or Access Password.

You will select your own username and password - this username must be unique on the system and the password must be at least 6 characters. If you ever forget your password a reset link will be sent to the e-mail address you specify.

The Apps will show you future scheduled classes. When viewing your class schedule for an upcoming semester, it is important to remember two things:

These future schedules are NOT the final sections, rooms, teachers, or blocks that your student will necessarily have on the final schedule. Schedules are in a constant state of change and nothing should be considered final until the first day of class.

Requests for a change of what period that your student takes a class or for a change of teacher of a course cannot be honored, as this would overload classes.
