Blessed Trinity Sophomore Shares Special Experience Meeting Pope Leo XIV

Blessed Trinity Catholic High School sophomore Cecilia recently experienced an unforgettable moment during a family trip to Rome.

Cecilia and her family had the special opportunity to meet Pope Leo XIV at a private event. For Cecilia, the experience included the chance to speak personally with the Holy Father.

“I felt very emotional, happy and in disbelief with this experience,” Cecilia shared. “I was able to speak to him with ease because he is from the U.S. and can speak English very well. Pope Leo is a very humble and kind man. He listened to me, and his response made me feel at ease. His smile was very welcoming, which made me comfortable speaking with him.”

The experience created a meaningful connection to Cecilia’s Catholic faith and a memory she and her family will carry with them for years to come.
