Coach McFarlin is entering his 8th season as the head football coach at Blessed Trinity and his 37th year of coaching high school football in Georgia. He holds a 17 year head coaching record of 157-52-2 and is 75-18-1 in his seven years at BT. While at Blessed Trinity, Coach McFarlin's teams have won 4 Region Championships, 3 Region Runner-Ups and has played for the State Championship twice in the past three years. In 2015 the Titans played for the State title where they came up just short in a heart breaking overtime loss to Westminster. This past year, Blessed Trinity claimed the 2017 AAAA State Championship by defeating rival Marist. Blessed Trinity finished the 2017 year ranked #1 in class AAAA and #7 overall in Georgia. It marked the seventh consecutive year for the Titans to be ranked in the Top 10 state wide and Coach McFarlin's second time to be named the GACA and AJC State AAAA Coach of the Year.
Coach McFarlin and his wife, Ms. Kay have been married for 35 years. They have two children. Their daughter, Courtney Lott, is married to Jim Lott, and they are the proud parents to Coach McFarlin's grandson, Taylor. And, their son, Will McFarlin, serves as one of the Boys and Girls Golf coaches at Blessed Trinity. Coach McFarlin and his family enjoy Blessed Trinity as their second home and look forward to the 2018 football season.
