Calpin Signs With Elon University

Blessed Trinity senior Molly Calpin has signed a letter of intent to play soccer for Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. Molly, an Alpharetta resident, has been a varsity player for the Lady Titans for the past four years.

According to Gilbert Jean-Baptiste, the Lady Titan’s head soccer coach, Molly is a charismatic and gifted athlete. “She has improved tremendously from her freshman year and should now be peaking in her last season as a Titan. She is also a good student but more importantly a perfect example of what our BT athletic program represents: discipline, hard work, and athletic as well as academic success,” he said. “She will be missed next year.”

Assistant Coach Pam Gordon said that Molly is one of those players who constantly encourages her teammates to perform. “She gives her best effort on the field at all times. She is a very coachable athlete who learns quickly and then executes. Molly brings a lot of energy to the team. Just as important as her athletic ability is her strong character on and off the filed. She represents her team, school, family and self well” said Coach Gordon.

Elon is a Division 1 school and has recruited Molly to play forward.
