Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach

Patrick Hughes (BT '04) has just completed his eighth season on the Blessed Trinity boys basketball staff and third as head coach of the Titans basketball program. During his first season as head coach, Coach Hughes led the Titans to a 24-6 overall record including 10-0 in the sub-region, a third consecutive SEBA Atlanta Hoop Festival showcase victory, a top ten overall finish in AAA, and a AAA Sweet 16 appearance. Coach Hughes was named All-North Fulton Coach of the Year by the Alpharetta-Roswell Revue & News. The Titans followed up their successful 2014/2015 campaign by recording double digit victories for the fourteenth consecutive season & and an appearance in the Region 6-AAA quarterfinals during the 2015/2016 season. Most recently during the 2016/2017 season the Titans recorded a 21-7 overall record, the school's first ever Region Championship, and a AAAA Sweet 16 Appearance. Coach Hughes was named Region 7-AAAA Coach of the Year for the 2016/2017 season. 

During the past eight years on the staff at Blessed Trinity, Coach Hughes has helped guide the Titans to one hundred and forty six wins, four appearances in the GHSA State Tournament Sweet 16 Round, four SEBA Atlanta Hoop Festival victories, a Region 6-AAA Runner Up finish, and a Region 7-AAAA Championship. 

Prior to being named head coach, Coach Hughes served as the varsity assistant and director of basketball operations, heading up scouting and video break down. He is a Blessed Trinity 2004 graduate and co-captain of the 2003/2004 AA State Playoff Team.

Coach Hughes is a graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he obtained a liberal arts degree. Along with his role as head basketball coach, he also serves at Blessed Trinity's Alumni Director working in the Advancement Office. He resides in Atlanta with his wife Lauren.
