Speaking the Language of Baseball

The 9th Grade Boys Baseball team showed off their bilingual skills, speaking the 'language' of baseball to take two games this Friday and Saturday.  Using their bats, their gloves and the ball, the Titans shut out arch(diocesan) rival St. Pius X 5-0 at home on Friday night.  The win was capped off with Matt Crisafi's 2 run homerun to left, sealing the game in the 6th inning.

Saturday afternoon the Titans upped their record to 4-0 by defeating Marist 11-10.  The offense pounded Marist pitching for 15 hits, while our pitchers yielded only six.  The freshman won in exciting style - with the score tied 10-10 in the bottom of the 7th, Kyle Milo led off with a triple to right-center.  One out later Andy Vogel lined a base hit, scoring Milo and ending a game that saw 6 lead changes.

The Titans have four games next week, starting with an away game at Creekview on Monday, 3/13.  Sequoyah, Lovett and Milton follow.  Come out and cheer on the future of Titan baseball!
