Katy Sandlin, from the Class of 2006 is graduating on May 8, 2009 from the University of Georgia Honor’s Program. Katy will graduate Magna Cum Laude from the Franklin College of Arts & Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Latin and Classical Studies, and a minor in English. Katy entered UGA in the fall of 2006 with 21 hours credit towards her degree program due to the AP classes she took while attending Blessed Trinity.

Katy traveled to Rome, Italy last summer with the Classical Department Study Abroad program for six weeks, taking three separate courses while touring the city. While there, she was able to gain access to many exciting architectural sites and museums with professors possessing top archaeological clearance. During her senior year, Katy has worked at the University Library on campus as a preservationist.   Her duties include diagnosing and repairing old or damaged books that are found within the library’s private and public collection, and she has really enjoyed the experience.
