Habitat for Humanity 2009-10

Blessed Trinity's chapter of Habitat for Humanity is a student-led organization dedicated to eradicating poverty housing and homelessness from our community.  We seek to accomplish this goal one dollar at a time, and one house at a time.  Each year, we raise thousands of dollars to fund building projects in the North Georgia area and donate volunteer labor to building projects in Fulton and Cherokee counties.

Blessed Trinity's chapter of HFH was recognized as one of the top 5 campus chapters in the United States at the annual Habitat for Humanity youth conference in Chicago, IL on October 17 for outstanding work in the area of advocacy.  As recipient of a State Farm Matching Grant, BT also raised over $10,000 for the construction of a home in our community in 2008-09.

A House for Wally & Me

A children's book written by local HFH volunteer Gene Stelton might be the perfect way to introduce a young person in your life to the work of Habitat for Humanity.  Available for purchase through BT's Habitat chapter, all profits benefit our local Habitat for Humanity building projects.  A House for Wally and Me would make a great birthday gift for an elementary aged student..  Cost is $14.  Email khoffman@btcatholic.org for more information.
