BTCommunity e-mail

fiogf49gjkf0d
All e-mails originating from Blessed Trinity will be sent to your assigned e-mail address (the one ending in @btcommunity.org). Information for accessing this e-mail account is sent to all families on a yellow sheet of paper as part of the summer mailing (the one including the school calendar, etc.). If you do not have your yellow sheet please send your student name(s) and mailing address to help@btcatholic.org and we will send you another copy of your yellow sheet (we cannot release the information over the phone or via e-mail).

It is strongly recommended that families forward btcommunity e-mails to a personal e-mail account that you check frequently. Forwarding directions are located below - please note two important items: you MUST complete steps 8-10 of the directions below (parents frequently stop at step 7 after verifying your forwarding e-mail address but this does not actually turn on forwarding) and if you want to forward to more than one e-mail address you must take additional steps below.

Parents and students may access the BTCommunity e-mail at http://mail.btcommunity.org

Forward mail to another account

Here's how to forward messages automatically: (taken directly from Google's help site)

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right, then select Settings.
  2. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  3. From the first drop-down menu in the "Forwarding" section, select 'Add new email address.'
  4. Enter the email address to which you'd like your messages forwarded.
  5. For your security, we'll send a verification to that email address.
  6. Open your forwarding email account, and find the confirmation message from the BTCommunity/Gmail team.
  7. Click the verification link in that email.
  8. Back in your BTCommunity e-mail account, select the 'Forward a copy of incoming mail to...' option and select your forwarding address from the drop-down menu.
  9. Select the action you'd like your messages to take from the drop-down menu. You can choose to keep your original copy of the message in your inbox, or you can send it automatically to All Mail or Trash. (We recommend keeping the original copy).
  10. Click Save Changes.
  11. Note that forwarding is only active for messages received from this point on (it is NOT retroactive).

How to forward to more than one address

  8. Back in your BTCommunity e-mail account navigate back to Settings and click on the Filters tab
  9. Click "Create a new filter"
  10. For the Filter type an asterisk (*) in the "From" box, leave all the other boxes empty and click the "Create filter with this search" link
  11. On the next page "When a message arrives that matches this search" choose "Forward it" and select the forwarding address that you entered and verified in steps 1-7 (NOTE: you will most likely have more than one address so make sure to choose the correct one / the one not already selected on the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab!).
  12. Click "Create filter" to actually forward the messages.

How to stop auto-forwarding

If you no longer want to auto-forward your mail, follow these instructions:
  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right, then select Settings.
  2. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, or if you use Google Apps, you might have a Forwarding tab instead.
  3. In the "Forwarding" section, select the Disable forwarding radio button.
  4. Click the first drop-down menu in the "Forwarding" section and check for any forwards created by filtering.
  5. If you were forwarding to more than one address click on the Filters tab and click the "delete" link next to the filter that is configured to forward your e-mails.
