Coaches

Andy Harlin, Head Varsity Coach 

This is Coach Harlin’s 16th year as Head Baseball Coach at Blessed Trinity and his 29th year with the Archdiocese of Atlanta School System.  Coach Harlin has won 26 Coach of the Year honors during his career.  He is a 5-time Georgia Dugout Club State Coach of the Year, and 3-time GACA State Coach of the Year.  Harlin was honored by the American Baseball Coaches Association being named 'Region Coach of the Year' for the southeast region in 2014 and 2015.  Coach Harlin is the department chair for physical education and he teaches strength & conditioning.  He is married to Jamie Radine from Lomita, California.

Jamie Wagner, Assistant Varsity Coach / Pitching Coach/Catchers

This is Coach Wagner’s 16th year at BT. He was named AAA State Assistant Coach of the Year in 2006, 2014 and 2015, and Georgia Dugout Club Assistant Coach of the Year in 2013. Coach Wags took over the pitching coach duties in 2013 and immediately had a giant impact with DI signees Reed Scott and Brian Kehner. In 2016, Coach Wags led the Titan pitching staff to the lowest ERA in the state of Georgia, covering all classifications. The pitching staff had a record setting season in a number of statistics. The staff set records in strikeout to walk ratio and ERA. Wags also tutored MLB catcher and '04 graduate Tyler Flowers who came home to the Atlanta Braves for the 2016 season. Coach Wags also tutored 2013 grad C.J. Brazil who is a catcher for DI Georgia Southern University. He was also instrumental in converting '07 graduate Benton Yaun from an infielder to an All-County catcher, Benton going on to play at Georgia College and State University. Coach Wagner is originally from Scotia, New York and was a member of Team Adirondack, winning the bronze medal in the 1990 Empire State Olympic Games. He played college baseball for South Georgia College, and graduated from State University of West Georgia. He is a former catcher on the Schenectady Mohawks (now Amsterdam Mohawks of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League). Coach Wagner came to Blessed Trinity after coaching baseball at North Cobb High School. Coach Wagner is the pitching coach and catchers coach at BT. Coach Wagner is also an assistant strength coach at BT, and teaches in the Physical Education department. Coach Wagner has also been instrumental in the success of the Titan Summer Baseball Camps, and serves as the camp coordinator. Jamie and his wife Joanna and three children reside in Woodstock, Georgia.


Brandon Harwell/Hitting Coach/Infielders

This is Coach Harwell's 12th year at BT. In 2014 and 2015, Coach Harwell was named GACA State Assistant Coach of the Year. In Coach Harwell's 1st year as the hitting coach, he led the Titans to numerous offensive records.  Coach Harwell tutored '08 graduate and Georgia Tech signee, Matt Skole, to a record setting 16 homeruns in 2008.  Skole was named Offensive Player of the Year. Skole was also named the Washington Nationals Minor League Player of the Year in 2012. In addition, '10 graduate Alex Cruz hit 10 homeruns in 2010 and  '09 graduate Ricky Kleban hit 10 homeruns in 2008.  Most recently, Coach Harwell tutored DI signee, and Seattle Mariners draft pick, Nathaniel Maggio. Maggio set the career homerun record at BT. Prior to BT, Coach Harwell coached baseball at Salem High School.  BT athletic director, Ricky Turner, was Coach Harwell's high school baseball coach at Salem. Coach Harwell is the department chair of the guidance department at BT.  He has been instrumental in pioneering an academic progress program for student-athletes at Blessed Trinity. Coach Harwell is a graduate of Berry College where he played baseball. Coach Harwell and his wife, Amber, are the proud parents of Audrey and Scarlett. Coach Harwell and his family reside in Woodstock.




Evan Tieles/Hitting Coach/Outfielders

Coach Tieles enters his 6th year as a member of the BT coaching staff. In 2014 and 2015, he was named GACA State Assistant Coach of the Year. He is a familiar face around Titan baseball. Coach Tieles was a member of the 2006 state championship team, and was on the mound for the deciding game in Columbus. He holds numerous records both as a pitcher and hitter and was a 3-year letterman. He won the Golden Spikes Award his senior year, was named to Team Georgia, and was an All-County selection. Coach Tieles was also 1st Team All-State, All-County, Georgia Dugout Club Top 100, and won the Silver Slugger Award. He was also honored by the Georgia Dugout Club being named Player of the Week, and went 11-0 on the mound his junior year. Coach Tieles went on to play at the University of Georgia from 2008-2010. As a Bulldog, he was a member of the 2008 team that won the SEC Championship, and went on to finish as NCAA Runner-Up in the College World Series. In 2009, he was an SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree. He played a summer for the Albany Dutchmen in the New York Collegiate Baseball League, where he led the team in GS, innings pitched, strikeouts, ERA, and wins. He was a NYCBL All-Star Selection. Coach Tieles resides in Woodstock.
