Andy Harlin, Head Varsity Coach / Infielders / Team Defense
This is Coach Harlin’s 10th year as Head Baseball Coach at Blessed Trinity and his 23rd year with the Archdiocese of Atlanta School System. Coach Harlin has won 12 Coach of the Year honors in his career. In 2010, 2009, and 2008, he was named the Beacon Coach of the Year for back to back to back seasons. He was named the 2006 AAA State Baseball Coach of the Year by the Georgia Dugout Club. In the last 7 years, Blessed Trinity has won 2 Region Championships, 6 Region Runner-Ups, and in 2006, a State Championship. The Titans have reached the Sweet 16 or better 8 years in a row, with quarterfinals finishes in 2007, 2009, and 2011, and a Final Four finish in 2010. In 2009, Harlin reached another milestone by earning his 300th career win. He was selected by the Dugout Club to serve as the Head Coach of the East Atlanta All-Star Team in 2000. He has won 3 GACA Region Coach of Year Awards, and GACA State Coach of the Year in 2006. He has been named Atlanta Journal Constitution Coach of the Year 3 times, once in Dekalb County in 2001 and twice in Fulton County, in 2003 and 2006. Harlin has taken teams to play baseball internationally, with St. Pius X going to Italy in 2001 and Blessed Trinity playing in Puerto Rico in 2004. He has had numerous players go on to play in college, and has had 8 former players drafted into pro baseball including Jake Skole who was a 1st Round Pick by the Texas Rangers in 2010. Harlin is the Department Chair for Physical Education and is also the strength coach at Blessed Trinity. Coach Harlin is married to the former Jamie Radine of Lomita, California. They reside in Holly Springs with their 2 dogs, Cal and Smalls.
Jamie Wagner, Assistant Varsity Coach / Catchers
This is Coach Wagner’s 10th year at BT. He was named AAA State Assistant Coach of the Year in 2006. He tutored '04 graduates Tyler Flowers who recently made his MLB debut with the Chicago White Sox on September 1, 2009 and Matt Vogel who played for D1 Mercer University. He was also instrumental in converting '07 graduate Benton Yaun from an infielder to an All-County catcher. Benton is currently playing at Georgia College and State University. Coach Wags most recently converted 2011 grad, Ross Hampton, from outfeild to catcher. Ross signed a baseball scholarship to play catcher at North Georgia College. Coach Wagner is originally from upstate New York and was a member of Team Adirondack, winning the bronze medal in the 1990 Empire State Olympic Games. He played college baseball for South Georgia College, and graduated from State University of West Georgia. He is a former catcher on the Schenectady Mohawks playing in the Major League Baseball sponsored NYCBL - New York Collegiate Baseball. Coach Wagner came to Blessed Trinity after coaching baseball at North Cobb High School. Coach Wagner is the catching coach at BT and will assist with the hitters. Coach Wagner is also an assistant basketball coach at BT, and teaches in the Physical Education department. Coach Wagner has also been instrumental in the success of the Titan Summer Baseball Camps, and serves as the camp coordinator. Jamie and his wife Joanna reside in Acworth, Georgia.
Brandon Harwell
This is Coach Harwell's 6th year at BT. In Coach Harwell's 1st year as the hitting coach, he led the Titans to numerous offensive records. Coach Harwell tutored '08 graduate and Georgia Tech signee, Matt Skole, to a record setting 16 homeruns in 2008. Skole was named Offensive Player of the Year. In addition, '10 graduate Alex Cruz hit 10 homeruns in 2010 and '09 graduate Ricky Kleban hit 10 homeruns in 2008. Prior to BT, Coach Harwell coached baseball at Salem High School. BT athletic director, Ricky Turner, was Coach Harwell's high school baseball coach at Salem. Coach Harwell works in the guidance department at BT. He has been instrumental in pioneering an academic progress program for student-athletes at Blessed Trinity. Coach Harwell is a graduate of Berry College where he played baseball. Coach Harwell and his wife, Amber, recently welcomed their beautiful baby daughter, Audrey Rose to the family. Coach Harwell and his family reside in Woodstock.
